As I did recently with several of my old software projects, I decided to wrap up a legacy release for my all time favourite Art of Defence map for C&C Generals, after I played the latest release once more yesterday. This video shows you the game, which surprisingly me and Darklight won on the most difficult level after both not playing the game for over half a year.

The legacy release is version 1.27, and includes some quick improvements over 1.26.

  • Rewrote readme file and created documentation wiki article.
  • Updated messages and fixed typo’s.
  • Increased second boss HP by 50%.
  • Slightly increased the amount of units for several brutal waves.
  • Decreased the spawn time of jet waves on brutal from 15-30 to 10-20 seconds.
  • Fixed bug in the final wave on brutal that caused part of the units to stay at their spawn points.
  • Added air raid siren sound when a wave of jets is spawned on brutal.

As I’m not playing this game anymore, and think the map editor is way to limited, this is probably the last release of this map by me. Have fun playing it though!

Two days back I did the effort of recording a replay (download) of a Supreme Commander Forged Alliance game I did a little over a month back. Like my 2 previous similar video’s, it’s filmed from an overview altitude, giving you a good strategic perspective on what’s going on. The entire match took a little over an hour, but the replay has been sped up to 20, with some insignificant parts omitted. Since Youtube has a 10 minute limit, I had to split the movie up into 2 parts. Enjoy :)

Team 1:

  • 600613,42 (me, blue) UEF
  • Darklight (friend, red) Cybrin

Team 2:

  • Cheating Tech AI (yellow) Seraphim
  • Cheating Tech AI (green) Aeon

Used mods:

  • Experimental Wars 1.96
  • Commanders Revenge 0.42
  • Realistic Nukes 1.4
  • Resource Rich (x2)
  • BLUE’s Naval Unit Pack 4.0

These mods are balanced, and do not make the game easier in any way. You can download them here, or just google them to find the most up to date versions.

Music used:

  • Unbreakable (Sabaton)
  • Back in Control (Sabaton)
  • Coat of Arms (Sabaton)
  • Midway (Sabaton)
  • Nuclear Attack (Sabaton)

A few friends of me created their very own completely awesome (audio) track. It’s titled “Abandoned”, and my friends named themselves “Metal Bunnies”. ATM there only is an instrumental version, but they are working on lyrics.

I’ve done an audiosurf run on the track with Ninja Mono on Ironmode with options bankcam, steep and 4lane. This one is HD btw :)

I’ve stealthed all songs of Breaking Benjamins new album Dear Agony on Audiosurf. All runs are done with the Ninja Mono character, and options as-bankcam and as-steep enabled. Have fun watching :)

Today I’ve stealthed New Divide, the latest single of Linking Park, on Audiosurf. What makes this so special is that although the song has a pretty low traffic (average block density), is that when you use the as-bankcam option, like I’ve done, it does bank – a lot. At some points the road tilts more then 90 degrees, making it very hard to evade blocks at the more dense and fast parts of the song.

I’ve also done a re-run after this, in which I only missed very few colours, but ended up having a lower score, cause I didn’t get the 11-combination bonus. Sometimes missing a block can be to your advantage :)

I’ve created a new version of an unique C&C Generals map that introduces the player to a totally new experience in the game.

In essence, the map, called [extreme] buggy survival, is a so called ‘AoD map’. AoD stands for ‘Art of Defence’, and is a type of map where you need to hold out against a bot (computer controlled player), that’s specially programmed in most instances. Prior to this map, there where two kind of AoD’s: the ones where you simply need to defend against lot’s of enemy units, and the one where you need to kill waves of units before they reach the end of a road (like my AoD’s SE4 and Lagarto). Extreme buggy survival adds a new sort to this list.

The player is given 12 GLA rocket buggies (fast, long range units), and 4 Jarmen kells (snipers), which he needs to use to defeat 8 or 10 waves of units (depending on the difficulty). If al waves have been destroyed, you win, if you lose all your buggies, you lose. The map supports up to 4 human players, to play as a team. The buggies and Jarmens will be divided amongst the players.

This map was originally created by a good map maker, but IMHO bad scripter. A few months ago I re-did it, and released versions 2, 3 and 4. Version 4 has become quite popular on Generals online, which led me to the creation of this new version.

The underneath vid is a recording of a game on RC1 of version 5. As you can see, the buggies where not yet correctly allocated here.

I’ve not released v5 yet, due to a lack of time, but will do this soon.

Yesterday I created 2 C&C Generals movies with some film material me and Darklight recorded during a game on Chaos Islands, a C&C Generals map I scripted. I’m really pleased with the results. Each movie is relatively short, one is 2:39, and the other one only 1:17. I’ve created them based on some nice ‘end of the world’ tracks.

The first movie is titled Project Chaos Islands. It features the track form an Earth 2160 trailer. You could see this vid as the successor of Project Armegeddon, a similar movie I made over a year ago.

The second movie is titled Chaos Islands – When earths natural recources run out… It’s based on a track from the intro of a small on-line game. I already used this track in an old vid, The end is near, which uses the same text as this movie, but lacks any real vid material.

A few days ago I also recorded the intro of Chaos Islands, click here to view it. You can download the map together with some other cool maps at my C&C Generals maps repository.
